Gus was rescued by the ISPCA at just five weeks old. When he arrived, one of his eyes were very badly damaged and our vet had no option but to remove it. While in his remaining eye, he had little to no sight and could only make out limited shapes during the day and at night, was completely blind.
When Gus began to thrive, we found him a fabulous new forever home and as you can see from the photos, he has happily settled in with his new family.
His new owner Shirley said: “He has 25 acres of wonderful countryside to explore with his new brothers and sisters including dogs, cats, ponies, and donkeys – all of whom have been rescued and given a second chance. My other dogs have taken Gus under their wings and he has been living his best life with us”.
“His eyesight does not deter him from having fun or taking life in his stride, said Shirley and we can also confirm that he gives the best cuddles too”.
