From Rescue to Radiance: Dexter's Journey Home and Heartwarming Adventures

Today’s Happy Tail is from Haesel, who adopted Dexter in July 2022. Dexter was with us for 4 months in ISPCA care.

Here is how Dexter is getting on at his forever home:

“I got Dexter from the ISPCA in July 2022. He’s my first rescue I’d lost my dog a month before and missed the company.

He was one of nine puppies that arrived with their mother at about a week old into the ISPCA’s care. He was about 4 months old when he arrived here and fitted in with our other dogs very well.

He’s very sociable and gets on well with strangers. Dexter was a bit nervous and excited at the same time meeting dogs out walking at first but now he loves to meet new dogs and people.

He keeps all his stuff on his bed and loves his squeaky ball to chase outside.

He has good manners and treats are good for training. He loves zoomies and is very fond of water he loves his ball to be thrown into water and to splash into it.

He’s very loving and loyal and while sometimes people comment on his weight when we’re out he is very healthy and you just have to ignore that.

I wouldn’t be without him. A walk or throw his ball and he’s ready to sleep!”
