A year ago the ISPCA had a litter of pups who are now celebrating their first birthday in their new homes. We were so delighted to hear from some of their owners about how they were getting on. In this special Happy Tail, we are so excited to share with you how they’re all doing!
Nadine said: “We adopted six months ago. Here is Birgu with our youngest boy, they’re best buddies.”
Bernie said: “We adopted Bonnie last September. She has grown into a very strong lively dog. She loves lots of playtime activities with the children in this house, we find her strong on the lead but she has a lovely nature.”
Miriam sent in a few lovely pictures of Ferdia but this one is with her son Séan who also wrote a beautiful update for us:
“This is Ferdia. Ferdia is a loving and protective dog. He is a bit bold now and again and can get very nervous but loves people. When he gets to know you, he will adore you. Ferdia loves all dogs and is very gentle. He also loves playing with you a lot. He loves walks but can get a bit scared of crowded spaces and traffic but he is a very good learner. He loves his cuddles and he can get over-excited or stressed when you are not paying attention to him. Ferdia is one year old and he is getting way better at things. He normally begs for food but will give up if you ignore him. He is very easy to get attached to and he will do anything for you. He always puts his head on my lap and falls asleep standing up and chews a bone on my dad. His boldness and fearless attempts for anything he can get is what makes us love him and he will respect you at any cost. He is the most lovely dog in the world and that is a fact.”
Peig sent in this lovely update about Lenny: “He is a big dog but friendly and good-natured. Attached is a photo of him on the bog yesterday bringing home the turf.”
Réiseal said: “Dora is adorable and mad and inquisitive and we love her. She is the friendliest sweetheart. If you ask my husband, she has ruined the garden, eaten all the cheese and can run super-fast when she gets the chance. She needs a lot of walking and is a complete handful and I think our kids got a bit of a shock about exactly how much is enough walking and caring! A note from our kids: She is our excitable lunatic. She loves snuggles and demolishes chew toys. Thank you ISPCA!”
We’d like to thank everyone who sent in an update as well as to sincerely thank them for taking such good care of the animals they’ve brought into their homes.
