We are delighted to introduce you to some of our first adoptions of 2022.
Because of the amazing people who support the ISPCA, many unwanted and unloved animals find their happy new forever homes each year.
Meet Teddy
ISPCA Animal Welfare Inspectors found Teddy locked in a small cage along with twenty other malnourished and injured dogs and pups at an abandoned property. All were brought to one of our rescue centres where their injuries were treated, and they were cleaned, fed and comforted. Teddy is now living his best life. His new family told us that although a little nervous at first, he is now a fun loving, kind and gentle dog. He loves long walks and even longer snuggles on the couch.
Teddy is no longer behind bars thanks to kind ISPCA supporters
Meet Rikki & Juno
The Mom of these adorable kittens was heavily pregnant and fending for herself when she was rescued. Although her litter was delivered safely in our veterinary nurse’s care, she and her kittens were suffering from many serious health issues. Newborn kittens rely on their mother for food, for warmth, for protection and we weren’t sure they’d make it. Thankfully, after almost 4 months, all made a full recovery. Rikki and Juno, two sisters, were rehomed together and are busy playing and exploring their new home. When tired out, they prefer to be tucked into the sofa alongside their humans and their new cat beds stay empty.
Rikki & Juno get to be playful, inquisitive kittens, because of kind ISPCA supporters
Meet Tyson
Tyson came into our care when his owner sadly passed away and there was no-one to look after him. This energetic and playful young boxer landed on his feet when we found him a loving new home. One where he spends his days playing with his new big brother Bruce, and his evenings curled up safe and warm.

Rescue is only the first step of a long journey for the many animals that the ISPCA rescues, cares for and rehomes each year, thanks to our kind and generous supporters. On average, it takes as many as 54 days of care before a neglected, cruelly treated or abandoned animal recovers.
Every kind donation could help rescue animals like Teddy, Rikki & Juno, and Tyson, so that they too can find their forever homes in 2022. If you would like to donate please visit https://stg.ispca.ie/donations
