Barney the foal's new beginning in life

Barney was less than a year old when he was rescued near a beach

Barney was less than a year old when he was rescued near a beach. There was no grass to eat and he was very underweight. He had sores on his back and his lovely coat was in poor condition. He was still too young to be separated from his mother and not getting the nutrition he needed. Barney was put on a special feeding routine and given supplements. At first, Barney was terrified of people.

Now after a few months in our care, he is a sweet and friendly little guy. Once he’s put on a bit more weight and gelded, he’ll be ready to go to a loving new home.
